Living Your Dreams

Whatever your dreams are – begin them!..

Passion is what makes you wake up in the middle of the night ready to do what you love as soon as your eyes blink open. It is a deep driving force for taking action on a path of genuine self-realization. Passion is something that cannot help but feel right. It inspires a feeling of boundless motivation, so intense that you could follow your sense of passion without thought of sleeping or eating. Passion is a universal gift that leads to the discovery of a unique talent lying latent within. When you express your passion, those around are able to tune into your genius, their tensions melt and relaxed sighs ensue: “Ahhhhh…” It makes other hearts sing and inspires them to be their best. What is your passion?

Your dreams

True success in life only can be achieved by following your passion. If you are a dancer in your heart, but are doing a lawyer’s craft, how will that fulfill you? Delve deep within yourself to find your true passion and pursue it fervently. This will give meaning to your life and joy beyond your wildest imagination. There is no way you can be truly successful by living a life that you do not believe in deep in your core.

Your passion will play you like an instrument, so allow it to flow in your life like a series of musical notes. Be the Stradivarius and let your passion be the Maestro. Your life will become a story to be proud of; a story of glorious achievements and a tale of wonders.

Passion radiates through me for the purpose of inspiring you to live passion. I know that it is not always easy to pursue a path of self discovery. How many people are so out of touch with their own sense of passion and excitement that they live someone else’s dreams, do someone else’s jobs, walk in someone else’s shoes without joy or a sense of fulfillment? Are you one of those people? If you are, when is the time to start living your dreams? Is there any reason for you to wait any longer?

Every one of us has a unique gift, a special talent that no one else can touch and access. You are the only person in the entire universe who has your particular gift. Your dreams, no matter how mundane or extraordinary they seem, are legitimate entities rooted in your personal passion. Your heart’s desires are planted there for a reason. By listening to your heart and making your dreams come true, you allow your happiness to grow and to flourish.

There is no such question as whether or not you are worthy of living your dreams. If you have a dream, it means that the universe wants you to live it! Whatever your dreams are – begin them. Start walking towards them, and they will rush in your direction. You long for your dreams because they desire you! Your dreams want you to desire them! That is why you have them. Your dreams will wait patiently for you to have the courage to pursue them. Surrender to letting your passion be your guide and your dreams be your reality.

When I was 18, I had a dream to study at Oxford University. To me, it was like a place from a fairy tale, like Hogwarts from the Harry Potter series. I deeply wanted to stroll the same corridors where Lewis Carroll and Oscar Wilde conceived their masterpieces. I was growing up in a small town in a poor country. My family was not wealthy. What chances did I have to attend Oxford? It seemed quite impossible… I was an ordinary boy with an extraordinary dream.

When I was about to graduate from college, I learned of a nationwide competition to go to Oxford for a post-graduate program. The prize was a scholarship that covered every expense from flights to tuition, accommodation to food, medical insurance to pocket money. My application was submitted along with seemingly infinite others. I gave my best and was selected to attend an interview. I did that…

A few months later, I received a letter saying: “Thank you for your application. We regret to inform you…” Was I disappointed? Oh yes! Having encouraged a friend to apply, he got a scholarship that year, but not me! I felt devastated, however, I learned something about myself. I realized that in my mind, I wasn’t ready for it.

I applied again next year; they were taking only one student from the entire country this time. Again, I was invited for the interview. I went prepared. I walked into the room full of distinguished scholars as if I was the only person on the planet who could win that scholarship. I acted as if I had already received it! I was flawless…

In a few months I received a letter from Oxford again. I was holding it in my hands afraid to open it, my heart throbbing. The stakes were enormous! The letter said: “We would like to warmly welcome you to Oxford. We are looking forward to meeting you …” I was speechless. Tears began dripping from my eyes onto the paper. I was astounded! My most sacred dream had just come true. Both of us, me and my dream, were having a glorious moment, becoming one…

Every dream is possible. You have the power to reach any destination if you simply start the journey. Filled with passion, it will take you to places that you never imagined as even being possible. How did I feel studying in Oxford, walking the ancient chambers and libraries, sitting at candlelit meals in the mystical dining halls, attending distinguished gatherings and lavish balls? It all was beyond my wildest imagination! My experiences inspired me to continue to follow m passion.

Yes, there are obstacles. Each one of us will encounter them on our own journey. Lack of support from family, friends and society, insufficient finances, illnesses and traumas, unexpected difficulties and unfavorable circumstances, to name just a few.

What are you going to do about them? The only way to come out on the other side of challenges is by burning through them. Fire transforms crude ore into fine steel. Obstacles and challenges aren’t there to stop you from pursuing your dreams. They are there to teach and to train you, to make you wiser, stronger and more capable. They are perfect coaches and companions. They are gifts absolute, oftentimes appearing in magnificent disguises.

Universe designs challenges with high precision for you to grow in a perfect way. Which means no obstacle is ever an excuse for not following your passion or not living your dreams! Obstacles are merely invitations to access the depths of your will and your power in order to learn and to overcome!

Here’s a suggestion: Make a small step. Take a pen and a piece of paper; write your resolution to move toward a particular dream. Write that you are ready to start following your passion right now and to live your dream. Read what you have written. This is your answer to the calling of your heart. This is where you need to direct all energy. You deserve the best, and you are entitled to everything you desire. Claim it. In fact, it’s already yours…
